Mission

The mission of the Northwestern State University Foundation is to serve the students, faculty, and staff of Northwestern State University, primarily through financial resources raised and distributed by the corporation.

Our History

The Northwestern State Foundation is a nonprofit organization established on May 20, 1960, by 27 individuals under Louisiana law.

The Foundation supports scholarships, professorships, fundraising, and academic programs while strengthening connections among faculty, students, alumni, corporations, and other supporters of academic excellence.

It operates through a voluntary Board of Directors—business and professional leaders who meet quarterly and serve on committees to guide the Foundation’s work.
